In short, people from different backgrounds come together to present ideas, listen to new thoughts and get to know each other.

Participants come with their own business idea in an early stage, or in a supporting role aiming to join others to develop business drafts to a level, where they can be presented to investors. Interdisciplinary teams are formed to push the ideas forward in a creative environment. As a basis for a company, a business concept will be developed. The process will be accompanied by coaches, business angels, former start-up entrepreneurs and many more motivated participants.  

The groups will receive feedback on their final presentation by a panel of experts. Apart from intensive working, the possibilities to build a network are without boundaries.Participants can talk with investors, sponsors and other participants.

STARTup Live provides the participants with everything they need to  develop their idea.

• This includes working environment such as high level working rooms including air condition, conference equipment, working and networking space for 150 persons, creative surrounding, breakfast/lunch/dinner.
• At the beginning of the event, a workshop on how to pitch ideas will be held, allowing participants to learn how to present their ideas during a limited amount of time.

• Furthermore the organizer brings experts and investors to the event and ensures the presence of diverse expertise, such as finance, marketing, law, process management, funding etc.
• The realizing team moderates the process and allows the working teams to follow their own working pace and speed.
• The team also pushes the process forward, overseas the progress of the teams, involves experts when necessary and informs about next key points on the day, such as intermediary presentations or fireside chats.

First of all – get in the mood, leave all your fears at home! Get ready to pitch!

If you are planning to present an idea, keep in mind that you will have to do it in… 90 seconds! A workshop on how to pitch ideas correctly will be provided.

To form a team, you have to be convincing enough, so that people join you!

STARTup Live team always tries to provide the participants with some support materials on such topics as pitch training, links to which you can find on our web-site, but in the end the  pitch is yours – here you are the creator, inventor and moderator!

How to deliver the perfect idea pitch?

• Consider that your audience consists of people with different backgrounds. They may happen to lack some previous knowledge regarding what you are to describe. So try to find the right words to explain your idea in a way so that everyone knows what you are talking about and at the same time make it appealing!
• Your speech should incorporate the core problem you are about to solve, its importance and what is your solution in a nutshell.
• Define for yourself and keep in mind, what you already have and what you need to make your idea become a start-up in terms of knowledge, human and other resources.
• Be aware that the pitches have to be done without any medial support like powerpoint. You have to present your idea verbally only.

Open your mind and your ears!

Even if something seems unrealistic to you, but feels exciting – give it a chance!

After the idea pitches you will have time to ask questions and share impressions with each other and at that moment some seemingly unrealistic things may happen to be clarified by other participants with different experience than yours.

Please bring along with you everything, which may be useful and inspiring – your computer, usb stick, favourite colourful pens, cabels etc.
